PRE-EVENT FOR THOSE ARRIVING ON THE 23rd or 24th :

DAY 1 – TUESDAY, APRIL 24

Arrivals of most international participants (during 23th and 24th)

10:30 am to 17 pm – Alliance of Indian Waste pickers ULB workshop, with participation of Asian waste pickers groups and activist, as well as Municipal Officers from the region.

International participants attending as observers and special invitees

DAY 2 – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25

8 am- 14pm– Field visits with all participants to see door to door collection, biogas, composting, (400 people approx). Lunch will be during the visits.

15pm -18pm– Sharing lessons from field visits

DAY 3 – APRIL 26

Arrivals of all international participants (during 25th and 26th)

10am- 13pm – end of AIW event, framing common demands.

15pm to 19 pm– Cultural event, sharing of songs, theatre plays, puppets, dancing, etc. Cultural integration all together! All participants to prepare their own activities to be presented (songs, theater, etc depends on the region)

20 pm – Dinner after drum circle at Yashada lawns
